About Us

Keyprint is a well-established company and a leading supplier to the Locksmith, Architectural Ironmonger, Hardware, Key Cutting, Security and OEM trade for over 40 years. Our business has been built over the years with excellent relationships, service and knowledge of the products that we supply to our customers.

We have long-standing working relationships with many of the leading global companies in the locking and security industry, such as Assa Abloy, Silca, Allegion (previously known as Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies), Kaba, Wendt and Peterson Tools, to name a few. Working closely with our suppliers enables us to bring new products to market, in addition to providing excellent service and training for our customers.

COMPANY HISTORY

In 1980 Keyprint was established from humble beginnings converting from a newspaper shop to a small Key Cutting retail business. It soon built up a good reputation as a specialised Key Cutting Shop in the City of Edinburgh.

In 1984 it started its wholesale business from the basement of the shop supplying Key Blanks, Key Machines, Key Accessories and Padlocks and within a couple of years, as the business grew, it moved to a small industrial unit nearby.

In 1996 Keyprint moved to a purpose-built facility where we are currently based. The premises comprise of a showroom with a trade counter, a warehouse for over 9000 product lines, a locksmith workshop for all master keying work and a key-cutting workshop for the trade.

A Training Academy was established at the premises in 2008. The training facility was fully-equipped to enable locksmiths and security specialists to improve their knowledge of key-cutting identification, key-cutting equipment, software for keys and master keying cylinders, uPVC locks, access control, various security locks and opening tools techniques.

Our training courses place a strong emphasis on a hands-on approach. We aim to equip individuals with the imagination and practical techniques to identify obstacles to aid in effective door entry for their clients. Therefore, each of our training courses combines a portion of theory in addition to practical implementation.
